How Long Will Anxiety Last After Taking Zoloft And Sleeping Pill?
Question: I have just increased my Zoloft to 75 mg to 100 I was unable to sleep and took a sleeping pill. I have increase anxiety. How long will that last? I was doing fine until I went for a Job interview and then my anxiety skyrocketed. I also take quitipine 100 for sleep. I want to know how long the increase will affect my sleep? also, will my anxiety be reduced?

I can understand your concern. Zoloft is Sertraline and the drug is a SSRI drug. When the drug is started in any patient or increased in doses then sudden rise in anxiety is usually seen. The rise in anxiety lasts for up to a week and in most individuals symptoms reduce by own over a week.
So with in a week your sleep will become better. Your anxiety will be reduced.

Hello, thank you as it makes one feel much better knowing that anxiety will go away. Another question I have is ... I was on 75 mg of Zoloft and 125of quitiapine for sleep and was feeling quite well until I was offered a job. Suddenly felt nausea, loss of appetite etc. Is that typical anxiety? also should the increase in Zoloft help me to get to a therapeutic level so that I don't feel like that from simple stresses?

Yes this occurred because of anxiety. A lot of individuals with anxiety disorder develop symptoms of anxiety even under mildest of stress. Continue to take the medicines and you will see improvement. No need to worry, the medicine is very effective in controlling generalised anxiety.
I don't think the doses should be increase further more. 100 mg doses are fine and continue to take at least 4-8 weeks and if anxiety still remains then you can think to increasing the dose to 150-200 mg per day.
