How Long Will Bleeding After An Endometrial Biopsy Last?

Question: I am postmenopausal and had an endometrium biopsy on Monday for one spot of blood about 1 1/2 mos ago. TVUS showed normal uterus and normal ovaries and endometrium thickness of 4.6. So because of that one spot Ob/Gyn did endometrial biopsy. Results came back fine and I had some bleeding on the day of the biopsy. No more bleeding and then some blood on toilet tissue on Saturday, so 5 days later. Is this normal?
Brief Answer:
It is completely normal. No thing to be worried about.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is completely normal to experiencing vaginal bleeding or spotting in the days following endometrial biopsy. It is nothing to be worried about. If there is associated pain you can take Tylenol 650 mg thrice daily.
Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Thank you, that is what I thought. How long could the spotting/bleeding last?
Also, I took 600 mg of Ibuprofen and I know that is a blood thinner, so thought maybe that had something to do with it.
Best....

Brief Answer:
Spotting can last for 10-12 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The spotting can last for few days (usually 10-12 days) following the biopsy. Ibuprofen can cause increase bleeding. However, if you took just 600 mg, it wouldn't be a major issue. It is better to take Tylenol instead of ibuprofen.
