Question : I took 65mg diazapam in a 3 day period of time I have to go do blood work how long will it take for this medicine will be out of my blood and I can go do blood work
Brief Answer:
Diazepam is detectable in blood for hours to days
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'. I'm not sure if they are doing blood work to detect benzodiazepines, if so, diazepam is reportedly detectable only for hours after ingestion, but given the amount you took, it may take a few days to clear. If you are just getting normal blood tests, the effects of diazepam would not be seen at all.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
