Question : How often can an opcitical blokc be given to the same patient in a year?

not more than 3 blocks in 6 months.

In any given six-month period, generally not more than three occipital nerve blocks can be given. This is because giving more injections could increase the likelihood of side effects from the steroids that are injected.
