Question : How many MRI can you receive in a period of 6 months.? I had one in XXXXXXX of this year for a foot.I had another one 3 weeks ago for a knee. There seems to be a small nodule and it was suggested that I get anther MRI done with a special die to identify what is the problem. What could be the consequences?
Brief Answer:
no consequances
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Unlike xrays or CT scan, MRI does not cause any irradiation and this is completely safe test with no harmful effect and there are no limitations for its use. Only if you have some iron implant in your body, it may cause some problems, otherwise you can do MRI scans as much as required. Wish you good health. Regards
