                                    I have a few questions:
What is likely to cause early onset?
Is there anything to do to prevent it?
Can I get a gene test to see my chances of getting it?

Genetic test can be done in case of a strong family history.

Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Various factors which may increase the chances of Alzheimer's are-
Head trauma, stroke, Diabetes, positive family history and some gene mutations.
Nothing really has been proved. However, maintaining a healthy life style with balanced diet(with fruits and green vegetables) and sleep, and trying best to be free of/having an excellent control of Diabetes and Hypertension may help. Low levels of cholesterol and regular physical exercise is also advisable.
Genetic testing can be done in cases of positive family history with a proper genetic counselling.
Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
