Brief Answer:
Not especially painful

Detailed Answer:
Hi Aracco39,

Flap surgery is typically not very painful. You'll be under general anesthesia during the procedure and can probably manage the pain afterwards with OTC analgesic and small amounts of morphine for a week or so.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Brief Answer:
Probably not

Detailed Answer:
Hi again Aracco39,

I wouldn't expect it to be more painful, especially in the long term. You may experience pain the first week or so, but it will subside as opposed to a seton, that stays in place for a long time.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.
