Ketoacidosis is a rare acute complication of type 2 Diabetes!
Cutting carbohydrates from the diet ( fasting or ketogenic diet) is one of the main causes of ketosis and in type 2 Diabetes , meanwhile ketoacidosis (that is a serious complication) is rare.
Insuline levels should be declined to cause acidosis, in type 2 it rarely happens, that is why ketoacidosis is rare.
