How Safe Is Rogaine For Hair Loss In Men?

Question: Hello,
I am a 30 year old male. I am facing some thin hair on the crown area, and on my right forehead,but my growth for the hair is good, on the sides in the front hair grows in 1 month and i regularly get a hair cut also.

I have been using XXXXXXX Furterer (Complex 5) as a tonic and i use the XXXXXXX Furterer shampoo also for washing my hair. I apply it 2 times a week and i use shampoo regularly.

I have recently purchased Rogaine Foam for men, bit i have not used it till now. I have some queries

1. Is Rogaine Safe in every sense
2. If i use Rogaine once a day will it be ok or i need to use it twice.
3. I have heard that after 4 hrs of using the foam i can wash my hair? Is it true
4. I have heard that if i start using rogaine i have to use it regularly or the hair will fall.
5. If i use Rogaine, will the other hair be ok or they will have negative impact for the same.
6. How long will the hair take to grow.
7. Can i continue to use Renne Frutner and Keihls Magic Excler or should i stop it

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com. I have read your query. I understand your concern. I have seen the attached photographs also.

As per details, it seems that you are having a condition called Androgenetic alopecia. It is characterized by patterned hair loss involving mainly both temporal areas and crown.

Yes you may use Rogaine foam for this type of hair loss. It should be applied twice daily over affected area. It should be continued for long to get appreciable results. Once stopped, it reverts back to the original condition. It does not harm the adjacent hair. You may leave it on scalp or wash it off after an hour of application. It is very safe to use with minimal side effects.
You may continue to use your shampoo and tonic.

Thank you for the email, It is really helpful but i want to ask two things:

1. If i apply just 1 time a day before i sleep and wash off in the morning will it be ok

2. You mean i can still use the Renne Frutner Complex 5 or Kehils Magic Exelior (spellings can be wrong)

Will it be ok to use them with Rogaine.

How much time does it take to grow the hair back some say 2 months others say 4 months.

No you should apply it twice a day as I have already mentioned for good results.
You may continue to use serum however it would have been better if you could stop applying it.
It may take 3-4 months of application before any appreciable results are seen.

I stay in Singapore and work here, so if i put the foam in the morning , my hair would be very sticky or no? I dont sticky and smelly hair in the office, Singapore work culture is very different.
