Question : I have an infection because I injected a liquid anti biotic into my shoulder the muscle is swollen and painful . I thought the white blood cells , would absorb it by now . but they haven’t. what do I do to undo this?
Brief Answer:
Cold compress and Aleve can help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The swelling and pain in the area can be due to an inflammation caused by the antibiotic. This can take a week or more to subside on its own. You can do a cold compress in the area thrice a day for relief and start with a mild pain killer to help with the pain and inflammation.
In case the swelling and pain increases then do consult a physician for examination and to rule out an abscess.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.

Hello,
A shot cannot help in increasing the white cell count. Echanea can help as it boosts the immunity.
