Brief Answer:
Infraspinatus muscle strain/tear

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The infraspinatus muscle is usually torn while doing repeated overhead activities. In your case, it may just be a muscle strain. A tear if present can be detected with an MRI only.
If you are unable to follow up with your doctor now, please follow the following measures
- Apply ice to the area
- Take Advil for pain
- Take adequate rest

If pain persists, follow up with your physician after vacation.

Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi
