Brief Answer:
Continue antibiotic for 7 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your reports.

The increase in size if lymph node in the posterior auricular region and petechiae is probably due to some bacterial infection

You can continue giving him Azithromycin antibiotic for 7 days.

If after 7 days of antibiotic treatment the swelling does not reduce and it becomes painful and larger then you may need to get a biopsy test done to rule out other pathologies.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
LFT and eating vitamin C

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your son's blood report.

He is having high PT/PTT.

He could have liver disease and I would advise him to do a liver function test (LFT).

He is also having low MCH.

Low MCH levels usually occur as a result of iron deficiency that has led to anemia.

He should add more iron and vitamin B6 to his diet.

Eating vitamin C and fiber along with foods that contain iron may also help increase the MCH levels.

Hello, thank you for your detailed response. I will bring this up to the doctor as he stated his blood work was normal. We will see if they will move forward with that or not. We have an ultrasound coming up next week to see the website out. With that said, do you feel with the wrath and full of stars in looking at the slides should leukemia or lymphoma be something that is on our mind? When you google that type of blood/rash it shows leukemia for sure. As of this morning the rash is gone. With that said, it has come back before. Signed and it went away and came back again. I just want to make sure I%E2%80%99m doing everything possible so my son is OK
I read online that children have had multiple blood test to be OK probably get another one and have leukemia. This is a huge fear of mine. Give me your thoughts and insights. I prescient you.

Brief Answer:
Bone marrow test

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Leukemia causes tiny red spots in the skin.

But since your son is not having other symptoms such fever or chills, weakness, weight loss, fatigue, easy bleeding, recurrent nosebleeds apart from petechiae marks and posterior auricular lymphadenopathy I do not think he is having leukemia.

However, the confirmatory test to rule out leukemia is bone marrow test.

This is a procedure to remove a sample of bone marrow from your son's hip bone.

The bone marrow is removed using a long thin needle.

The sample is sent to a laboratory to look for leukemia cells
