calamine, steroid cream, continue benadryl, baking soda soaks and paste
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
He may be experiencing an allergic reaction to one of his meds or if he has used any new foods or drink (though rash usually more generalized.
Treatment- (1) continue benadryl- use 1 to 2 tabs every 4 to 6 hours till resolved
(2)calamine lotion along with a topical steroid cream such as hydrocortisone cream- both of these are over the counter
(3)baking soda soaks may also help as well , can also make a paste of baking soda and apply to the area
The paste would be approximately 1 part baking soda to 3 parts water
In terms of the soak, would vary on the amount of water but in general 1/4 cup to 1 cup should be enough
If there is no improvement then steroids may be needed
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
