Brief Answer:
Safe to travel by air with the baby.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

It is safe for you to travel with your baby while you fly. You just need to pack things carefully, planning in advance. You also need to feed your baby from time to time while on flight. This is important because the swallowing helps in normalizing the air pressure within the middle ear cavity of the child. Wrap the baby comfortably. Keep diapers handy. No other specific advice.

About Depin (nifedepine) it is safe to be taken during lactation. You just need to ensure a 3-4 hours gap from the dose, before you breast feed your baby, if possible.

Exclusive breast feeding would still be advisable. If the gap matters, you can use expressed breast milk.

Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
Safe in children

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

I am completely aware that children usually feed at interval of around 2 hours. That is why I have already suggested about expressing breast milk beforehand.

However, nifedipine is a medicine that is safe even in children (and is given in case of hypertension in children). So, even if it goes to your child through breast milk it would hardly be of any concern. In such a situation you need not really worry.
