Question : Hi, I was having sex with my partner. After the session I had ejaculated and taken off the used condom. After sometime she wanted to have sex again. This time I had put on another condom and had engaged in the intercourse. After the intercourse ( there was no ejaculation this time ) when I was about to take off the condom I noticed that it had ruptured. What are the precautions me and my mate should take in order to avoid pregnancy and STD ?

Brief Answer:
Emergency contraceptive pills

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

Since you have not ejaculated, the chances of pregnancy are minimum but exist.

Immediately after the sex, I would suggest your partner to wash vagina with soap and water which will minimize chance of STD as well as pregnancy.

To prevent pregnancy, I advice your partner to take over the counter available emergency contraceptive pills as soon as possible, i.e., within 72 hours of sex. This will help in preventing pregnancy.

I hope your doubt is cleared.

Hi Dr. XXXXXXX

Will a daily diet of papaya help my partner prevent any unwanted pregnancy ? If yes, for how many days would she need to continue having papaya ? Also, if I need to take advice regarding some emergency contraceptive pills what kind of specialist do I need to consult before I buy such pills ?

Brief Answer:
Gynecologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Papaya will not really help. No use of having papaya.

For more advice , examination or emergency contraceptives please see your gynecologist who will guide regarding the process and prescription.

I hope your doubt is cleared.
