Brief Answer:
The cause should be detected+lifestyle changes.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Good afternoon.
I can understand your problem.

GGT (gamma glutamyl transferase) is a liver enzyme and it is predominantly stored in the biliary epithelium.
Among the causes, the most common being alcohol intake, liver or gall bladder diseases or certain drugs which damage the liver.
If you take alcohol, there should be total abstinence in reversing the liver injury and restoring the normal GGT level.
Abstaining from alcohol will decrease your chances of further damaging your liver and should allow your liver function to improve.
Vitamin E containing supplements are effective in reducing the level of GGT.
I would advise the following lifestyle changes to reduce the GGT level:
1. Avoid smoking, fatty meals, fast and junk foods
2. Eat home cooked foods, increase the intake of fruits and vegetables
3. An abdominal ultrasound scan to assess the liver and gall bladder

GGT fall is expected to reach normal values in 6-8 weeks.

Hope the suggestions given above could be useful to you.
Best regards.
