Brief Answer:
Do laparoscopy

Detailed Answer:
hi,

I can understand your concerns.

The only sureshot way of knowing if its a hemorrhagic or endometriotic cyst is to do a diagnostic laparoscopy.

That will confirm it.

ultrasound and CT/MRI are not conclusive and wrong many a times.

If its an endometriotic cyst then depending on size ( more than 5 cms ) you will need to get it removed or use hormonal pills if size is less than 5 cms.

Is there a surity that after getting it removed through leproscopy it will not come back? Also i want to know if the size is less than 5 cms even without leproscopy, should i still need to get leroscopy done or just continue taking pills, or what could be the side effects of those pills.

Last question, my friend was telling that cyst may lead to cancer, is that correct?

Detailed Answer:
Dear,

If properly done, where the wall of the cyst is completely removed, chances of recurrence is low but NEVER ZERO.

These cysts sometimes recur despite perfect surgeries.

You need the laparoscopy to atleast know which type of cyst it is , endometriotic or hemorrhagic etc.

NO, pills are not a long term solution. they cause weight gain, facial hair, liver and breast disease over long use.

Yes, sometimes cysts can become cancer.

My advise in short, take it out laparoscopically if more than 5 cms.

if less than 5 cms take pills for 3 months and STOP. just do regular sonographies after that .

If size reduces or cyst disappears or atleast stays same and less than 5 cms do nothing.

If it again starts growing and crosses 5 cms take it out.
