Question : I still have a leak after having open gastric sleeve. My urine is still orange and I'm at home with a TPN IV. I'm allergic to all metal so I'm limited to certain things. What happens if th CT scan doesn't show a leak but the drain still gets fluid in it? I want to be back to normal again!

I have gone through your query. However, you have expressed only a part of the problem. You have not specified the exact nature of surgery and the reason for undertaking it. It also seems confusing whether you mean urine or the fluid from the drain site when you say that it is orange. So I would need more clarifications in this regard. All I can say is that even there is no leak, definitely there is some reason behind the ongoing drainage. The cause is likely to show up in the CT scan and so you need not worry. When on TPN, the vitamins that are added to it, may render a dark yellow or orangish tinge to the urine. It is normal and not a cause of concern.
You have already undregone the surgery. If I can know the exact nature of problems, I would be able to comment when exactly are you supposed to be back to normal again.
