Marvelon contains a mixture of hormones desogestrel/ethinylestradiol.
If you started on the first day of your menstrual cycle (first day of bleeding) then it would provide immediate contraceptive cover and you can start having intercourse as soon as your wish.
If it was not started at that time, then you should cover with another form of contraception for 7 days.
After this 7 days, then you would be covered once you take it consistently at approximately the same time every day.
