Brief Answer:
Early January

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
By the expected delivery date of 27 th September, your last menstrual period was on 20 th December, 2016.
The conception usually occurs on 14 -15 th day of the cycle in a 28 days cycle.
Therefore, the pregnancy likely established in January by an act in Early January.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Brief Answer:
Detailed explanation below

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
40 weeks of gestation is counted from the first day of the last menstrual period.
So, by that calculation, the first day of the last menstrual period was 20th December, 2016.
Since the pregnancy usually occurs between 4-5 days prior to ovulation to upto 1 day after ovulation, and the ovulation usually occurs on day 14 ,the pregnancy is likely to have occurred in first week of January.
The ovulation would have occurred around 2-3 rd January, the conception, the pregnancy would have occurred due to the intercourse on 2-3 rd January.
The urine pregnancy test comes positive 14 days after fertilization, and an earlier test can come negative, as in your case.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
