Question : My first day of last period was 18th January. I have calculated I was most likely ovulating between 29th XXXXXXX - 3rd Feb. I had sex almost daily with my partner during those days. I am not proud but also had unprotected sex with another man on 5th Feb and he pulled out and also on 8th Feb and he pulled out again. I took a test 16th Feb and tested positive and again 21st Feb do am definitely positive. What are my chances of the second man being the father?

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) If your period is quite REGULAR (28-30 days), then your fertile days would be from 29th XXXXXXX to 4th Feb if your D1 of cycle was 18th XXXXXXX Chance of pregnancy from FIRST man is HIGHEST (more than 99%).

2) Unprotected sex with pulled out method has quite HIGH failure rate (15 to 27%) and there is SLIGHT chance (less than 1%) of getting pregnant from 5th Feb sex (by SECOND man) as it was close to your fertile days. However, it needs to confirm.

3) Best thing, you can do, is DNA test to clear doubt and it is superior to all other tests. It is 100% reliable and confirm paternity.
