How To Differentiate Between A Parkinson's Disease And Essential Tremor?

default
Posted on Tue, 2 Feb 2016
Question: I understand the need to coordinate with physical exam although I had one in August. That is where the TSH was recorded as 5.33 even though the T4 was okay. T3 and Thyroid antibodies were not checked. No one seems to want to address that issue, and yet, it would seem to me that the symptoms are similar. IN my last test conducted yesterday, they see slight almost non-existant in one of my arms not swinging when I walk. I am planning to do the DAT scan on the 20the of this month. They also want me to start a beta blocker for what reason I am not sure. They have stopped the other medication to test for Parkinson's since it had no effect except to give me a headache. I really would like someone to consider the circumstances, not just the symptoms. I had spent some years before I retired as Chancellor of Palmer University. Palmer is the premier chiropractic college in the world. I had tried before I left to get the greater emphasis on whole life diagnosis. I am still working to start Great health XXXXXXX (for which I own the rights and dot com. The purpose would be an organization that focuses on total life diagnosis based on more than just presentation. This organization would also coordinate with all the various doctors and specialists. This is something that is greatly needed since because of all the portal report systems the patient is left to coordinate all their care even when there may be contra treatments involved.

Brief Answer:
DAT scan is a step in right direction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being again here on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar, again here, to answer your query.

I must say that, with your current developments,DAT scan is a step in right direction. It will help to differentiate whether it is Parkinson's disease or Essential tremor.

Again, starting Beta-blockers as a therapeutic trial of Essential tremor,is a step ahead on the right track. If you respond to these, then it will go in favor of Essential tremor.

I am highly pleased to know about your great plans about 'Great health America'.Of course,it can be phenomenal in integrating various specialities for better health of the individuals.

It has been a pleasure to be in touch with you again.I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
