Question : Dear doctor,
I am patient of PCOS. my age is 28yrs and i have been on medication of metformin for the cause. My period is delayed this month by 6days. But since morning i am getting some red spotting.. i m really worried about this bcoz i m looking forward to a pregnancy this month. Plz advice.

Mild bright red spotting can be seen in early pregnancy due to the implantation of the embryo. I would recommend you to get a urine pregnancy test done to rule out the same. In case if it turns out negative I suggest you to wait for another 5 days for the repeat test. In case the second test comes negative, you need to be evaluated for hormonal imbalance.
