Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your concern.

Brown spot on the cheek could be either Melasma, Freckles Or Seborrheic keratosis. While Melasma and Freckles improve with topical skin lightening/demelanizing creams along with sun protection/sunscreen, for seborrheic keratosis the best thing to get rid off is by CO2 Laser.

It would be great if you can uploaded a clear digital Image/picture showing the area of concern, so that I may be able to help you better.

A broad spectrum sunscreen, that which provides both UV B as well as UV A protection throughout the day, is a must. You should reapply it every 2-3 hourly, throughout the day.

For Melasma Or Freckles, You could use a cream containing skin lightening agent like Kojic acid, once or twice daily.

Day time you could use kojic acid cream over the whole face, the first thing in the morning followed by sunscreen over it, 30 min later. Sunscreen should be applied 2-3 times during the day

Evening, I would suggest a tretinoin cream 0.025% OR 0.05% for just 2 hours application followed by washing your face with a gentle cleanser. Thereafter you can apply kojic acid cream and leave it over night overnight.

Next day repeat the same things in the following order:

Wash your face in the morning,
Apply kojic acid cream, then apply sunscreen over it after 30 mins and re-apply sunscreen every 2-3 hours,
Wash your face in the evening,
Use tretinoin cream for just 2 hours, wash your face once again and
Apply kojic cream, which should be left overnight.

An Oral once daily Vit C supplement would also prove beneficial in fading away the pigmentation.

However for seborrheic keratosis, the best thing that would work would be CO2 Laser.

Hope this helps
