Use Tylenol and keep hydrated

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

You can write me more details about your symptoms of cold.
You can use anti-inflammatory drugs for fever and pain such acetaminophen, tylenol or ibuprofen.
Also you can rinse nose and throat with saline water. Drink more water, fluids or tea in order to keep yourself hydrated.

Brief Answer:
Please specify the symptoms better.

Detailed Answer:
Having infected tonsils and running more are two different things. If you have throat pain and running nose for two days it can be common cold and using only Tylenol can be advisable.
If the tonsils are infected, red ,swollen and with white dots you may need antibiotics.
Please specify better the symptoms.
