Question: How to improve bone strength. I am doin maryial art and need extra diet and bone strength. Could you please help me what should i eat and if any supplementation for good health bone strength

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that bone strength depends on strength training so the more you do resistance exercises it will increase the strength . Generally at your age there is no need for supplements if you have adequate diet but still if you say get your calcium and vitamin D levels checked because they are two main things that affect bone turnover . If there is any deficiency then there correction is recommended otherwise not . Rest for muscles having lean protein is the best thing . People take a lot of over the counter supplements but it is not advisable . Take care. Dr. Shruti
