How To Increase The Breast Milk? Can I Feed My Newborn With Formula?

First try your best to feed your milk up to 6 months at least even the small amount that comes.Do not feel discouraged.

For Increasing the milk
Do the following

1 complete emptying of the breast is essential
Alternate the breasts in each feed-that is if you start with rt side first,finish rt side first and then left side completely.
Next time strategy with left side first.

2 frequent suckling helps to increase milk milk is let down by the sucking reflex of the baby.

3 take plenty of fluids,milk and little fatty food like ghee.

4 there is herbal preparation called Lactaire in the market to add to milk and drink

5 there is a new complan also for breast feeding mothers.


If by all these your milk still not enough,you can start on Lactogen 1 and alternate with your milk.
