Need to know reason for high heart rate first
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for contacting Healthcare Magic with your question. Before I would recommend any medicine for the elevated heart rate, I would want to know what is causing it. Depending on the cause, some medicine may actually make it worse. Are the medicines you list ones you are taking for your blood pressure? You should talk to your doctor before discontinuing any or trying to choose between them because of your heart rate. If they are somebody else's medicine, do NOT take them to try to self-treat.
Many things can cause a fast heart rate that need to be checked for. You could be dehydrated. Your thyroid could be hyperactive. You might be having heart rhythm abnormalities. A medicine you are on could be causing side effects. Your oxygen level might be too low, or you might be anemic.
If you were my patient, I would want to see you in the office and evaluate for all these possibilities. I would request some blood tests and check an EKG. Until I know why your heart rate is elevated, I would not try to treat it.
Hope this answers your query. If you have further questions, I would be happy to answer them.
