Question : My scrotum is very wrinkled...a noticeable difference. It is also a little irritated on the outer skin and slightly darker in color than normal. I recently (about two months) had a vasectomy and I am wondering if this is a side effect or what might cause this reaction. I can send a picture if that will help.

                                    Brief Answer:
looks normal and is a normal function.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and the nice and clear photograph.
The appearance of the scrotal skin looks absolutely normal.
This is due to the action of the muscle under the skin which contracts to give such appearance to the skin. This is the normal function of scrotal skin.
This is physiological and normal character of the skin and is not related to the vasectomy at all.
Clean the area with plenty of warm water, keep it ventilated and the irritation will go away and the color will return to the normal. The wrinkling will go away.
Be assured.
