Question : We are living in France. My wife has terrible night sweats and feels very cold
even though the room is very warm. She had the same thing last summer but
it abated until this summer. Her blood tests have not revealed anything - her
thyroid function is normal, no signs of cancer etc. She is 85 and has lost a lot
of weight. She does not drink or take prescription drugs .

I read your query and here is my advice.
I think she may need to do some more tests in order to find the reasonof cold sweats. Please do CRP, HIV test, pulmonary x-ray, and abdominal ultrasound.
