Question : Hello,
My 3 year old was eating soup and she was grabbing noodles with he hands and eating it and a kernal of corn went up her right nostil. She told me it was a piece of corn. She will not let me help her get it out. I took a flashlight and looked in her nose and I do see it. But I dont know how to go about taking it out. Will that corn cut off her breathing? Do I need to take her a doctor? Will it come out on its own?

Brief Answer:
Rush to the ER
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Since its an organic matter and can swell up by adsorbing water in mucus. There is risk of of impaction beyond the chances of easy removal.
I recommend you to take her to the ER as early as possible.
Do not attempt to extract the corn on your own you can damage the sensitive and friable mucosa of nose.
Wish you good health.
