Brief Answer:
Tanning responds well to sunscreens applied properly.

Detailed Answer:
My Dear

Welcome to the site!
I am Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX and I have noted your concerns. I deal with the problems like yours on a routine basis.

Tanning responds quite well to a combination of measures which I am going to discuss with you. Most people do not know how exactly to make use of sunscreens and get intended benefits

1 The first and most important of these measures is to limit your sun exposure as much as you can. Some people wear broad brim hats and others prefer to reschedule their activities in such a manner that they do not have to go out during the mid-days especially from 1100 AM to 400PM. This time period is important because during these hours, the harmful ultraviolet rays are most intense.

2 It helps to a great extent if one applies sunscreens during the above mentioned time period. Sunscreen should be at least 35 SPF, a rating which is mentioned on the packs and should preferably without fragrance and also should be waterproof.
It must be applied daily because the UV rays get into the interiors of the house as well and since these are not stopped effectively by clouds, so daily use in all weather conditions is recommended.
You should also note that sunscreens need to be applied at least 30 minutes before you move out.All exposed area need to be treated with sunscreens. It is far more better to apply sunscreen fist at 1030AM and then repeat at 130PM

3 Use of antioxidants is also very helpful in controlling the tanning.

4 I have got good results by additional application of preparations containing Kojic Acid and vitamin C in good number of patients in my practice and there is plenty of research evidence to recommend using these preparations.

5 Finally, the recovery is a slow process and one must remain hopeful and stay on course for months together.

Once you get better it is important to prevent the situation from arising again by suitable measures.

I am sure with this information, you will stand a good chance of earliest recovery. Our best wishes!

Brief Answer:
Additional help in improving XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
My Dear

Welcome to the site!

I understand your concerns and I will tell you some additional points that will help you in enhancing the beneficial effects of the measures outlined earlier.

1 One might use scrubs which basically help in removing the superficial or the uppermost layers of the skin thereby improving the overall good effects. A number of such preparations are available and one can choose any because basically they all work in the same manner.

2 Creams causing skin exfoliation usually contain retinoids and have to be used with caution since their use is generally accompanied by roughness and increased intolerance to light. One needs to be careful to apply such preparations only for a limited duration in the evenings and these need to be washed off before going to bed.

3 Packs containing mild exfoliating agents like salicylic acid are also an option but if one is already using sunscreens and other preparations described earlier then packs will be of limited use only.

I hope you will focus mainly on the sunscreens and other measures detailed previously with additional benefits being extracted from packs and other creams.

Once you start getting results, you will feel good about the problem that has been disturbing you.

Our best wishes

Brief Answer:
Tanning goes away gradually but some quick remedies are offered

Detailed Answer:
My Dear

Thanks for coming back to help remove your doubts

As tanning is related to excess deposit of pigments in the skin, it takes body time to dispose off the excess load.

For some quick relief, one may consider using concealer or other agents that are commercially available for application to the affected skin areas so that the areas to which these are applied match the surrounding skin complexion.

Face washes containing Glycolic Acid in concentrations up to 6% are also an option.

You can go for some products that work like these and get immediate relief. Many patients report quick improvement by staying totally away from sunlight for a couple of days.

I am sure you will make a suitable choice from amongst these and feel better

Best wishes
