Question : my wife has a diastolic measured 47. is this needs for alarm?

Regarding your concern, I would explain that in older persons it is normal to have a lower diastolic blood pressure, with a high difference between diastolic and systolic blood pressure.
But, I would recommend performing some tests to exclude other possible causes:
- a cardiac ultrasound to examine the aortic valve
- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid dysfunction.
