Question: What is the safest way to stop taking depakote . I am on 1000 mg dosage per day i have been taking it for 2 months for bipolar disorder. The adverse effects have been numerous including weight gain and a lot of tremors.

Brief Answer: Don't make decision,be carefull Detailed Answer: Dear I am sorry for symptoms you are suffering but you need to be carefull. You have to consult your doctor about changing the depachine. It can be removed safely with lowering the dose each week with 250 mg, half tablet. What would happen if i remove the medicament without other therapy? Please tell me my options as i have very minor accute hypomania and i am also taking 7.5 mg zyprexa per day.
