How To Test For Diagnosis Of Uvular Papilloma?

Question: Hello,
I was feeling sort of blocking sensation around uvula when swallowing for few weeks now and observed that my uvula is elongated by a cm.I didn't have any cold.Lastly I consulted with an ENT specialist today and he told that it is "Uvular Papilomma". Being a surgeon, he asked for its surgical removal.
Is it the only way to get it cured? Is there any blood test to be sure whether it is actually a papilomma?
