Question : Hello, My name is XXXXXXX Dittrich. I have had issues with extreme fatigue for a couple years now. It is so bad that i cannot function properly. I fall asleep sitting up on the couch and can not keep my eyes open once i start feeling fatigued. This fatigue usually is followed up by extremely low energy. I also noticed that my body cannot control temperature changes. I wake up sweating at night and am constantly taking on and off layers of close to combat sweating and chills.

Brief Answer:
About extreme fatigue and low energy:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
Having into consideration your symptoms, except of a detailed clinical examination, there are three endocrinological pathologies to be excluded:
-An under active thyroid (hypothyroidism). You need to check TSH, Ft4 and FT3 for that.
-An adrenal insufficiency (a synacten stimulation test helps to confirm/rule it out)
-Pathologies that cause low testosterone level (check testosterone).
Discuss with your physician about them and do not hesitate to ask for further opinion.
Best wishes,
Dr.mirjeta
