HOW LONG IS THIS PROCESS . WILL THE ANSWER BE SOON OR DAYS?
Brief Answer:
Herpes simplex virus infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have reviewed your query and viewed the image.
I would keep a possibility of Herpes simplex virus type 1 infection which commonly causes cold sores on and around lips. It is caused by a different virus than which causes shingles. Shingles is caused by Varicella zoster virus. I would suggest you to take an oral antiviral e.g tablet valacyclovir 500mg, three times a day for a week. Topically you may use either Mupirocin cream or Fusidic acid cream, twice daily.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
