Question : I accidentally doubled my dose of atenolol in an eight hour period
Brief Answer:
Nothing much to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Generally nothing will happen with once in a while double dosage of atenelol.
The toxicity develops only if you take much more than the prescribed the dose.
The initial symptoms of the atenolol toxicity will be bradycardia(low heart rate).
You can self monitor the pulse rate using a watch and if pulse goes below 50 per minute( very very unlikely in your case) medical attention can be sought.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
