Question: I am a 34 year old male. I was applying an antifungal cream to my toes to treat athlete%E2%80%99s foot when I noticed two small brown spots on the underside of two toes.
I am attaching photos, including one beside a cotton bud for scale.
I don%E2%80%99t regularly examine this part of my body, so I do not know how long they have been there.

Brief Answer:
These spots are not cancerous
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photographs.
These spots are not cancerous.
They seem to be crusted lesions associated with fungal infection.
I would recommend you to apply topical antibiotic like fusidic acid cream or mupirocin cream on these spots twice daily along with application of an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream on the scaly area 2-3 times in a day.
Also keep the area dry and clean, wear open footwear and stay in cool airy environment.

Thank you doctor.
Just to be clear, in the pictures, you are speaking about the small brown spots that look like a mole with a layer of dead skin on top? You are not speaking only about the peeling areas of skin?

Brief Answer:
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
Yes I am talking about both: the small brown spots as well as scaly skin.
On the brown spots you need to apply topical antibiotic.
