Question : I am a diabetic. I am taking Trulicity invokana
About three weeks now i have been having a very foul, passing gas smell of my urine when i urinate. It is bothering to me know that this smell all of a sudden. I drink about close to a gallon of water a day. Two years ago my doctor stated i am drinking too much water because my potassium is very low.

I have gone carefully through your concern.
The urine smell you reported is suggestive for urinary infection.
You should know that invokana has urinary infection as side effect.
So i would recommend to check urine for infection and inform your physician to change treatment if urinary infection is confirmed.

I have been on invokana for the last two years and this is the first time I have ever smelt this smell. I just completed an antibiotic for an bacteria yeast infection 7 days ago. But prior to taking this medication I had this foul smell. Hope it is not an Kidney infection

It can not be anything else except of urinary tract infection.
Probably a urine culture would be of help to find out the right bacteria and antibiotic.
