Question : I am experiencing pressure in my bladder, particularly when standing, a dull headache and dizziness over the last 3 days. The bladder pressure has been going on for 10 days. I have been using AZO which gives slight relief. The headache and dizziness are new over the last 3 days. No blood in urine, no fever, but did just have a bout of IBS with intense downward pressure to expel stool.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

The most common cause of bladder pressure is urinary tract infection or cystitis.

I recommend to do a complete blood count and a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest to continue using AZO for temporary relief three tablets a day.

I also recommend to drink liquids and especially cranberry juice.

If the diagnosis is confirmed I suggest to take prescription antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacine 500 mg twice a day.

This medication is taken for five days on prescription.

You should consult your doctor before taking it.

I took home UTI test made by AZO and my Leukocytes and Nitrite reading were both positive within 30 seconds rather than the 2 minute waiting time per instructions. I am allergic to.sulfa drugs. Can you prescribe me an antibiotic to Kroger Pharmacy at 770-225-0960? Please let me know.ASAP so.if not.I can seek.help elsewhere.

If the leukocytes are positive in the urine test the treatment consists of antibiotics.

Antibiotics' prescriptions are beyond the scope of online medical consultation.

In my daily practice, I suggest using Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day for five days.
