Question : I had a medical procedure of facet joint injection on both the right/left side 3 days ago with a type of steroid whereby it's supposed to relieve some back issues I have. The very next day mid afternoon the left side of my face became very flushed, the right side not so much and my face was burning hot and tomato red.I don't like my appearance being significantly altered fearing it may be a permanent condition and would like to know how long will this last? I heard a few days.If I'm supposed to have relief in my spine for 4 months does this mean that I will have this ongoing issue on my face until the medication wears off?I also have hot hands as well.

Brief Answer:
They will soon disappear.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Having hot flashes after steroid injection is common.
It will gradually go away.
I don't think that this may last for months till medication wears off.
I think you may have these symptoms for 7-10 days and they will gradually disappear while the effects on joint will last for months.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
