Brief Answer:
Observation...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The symptoms you describe could be related to a viral infection; but other possibilities cannot be ruled out without a physical examination.

As the symptoms are seem mild, I would suggest you to observe the condition for next few days. Usually this is a self resolving issue and you should feel better very soon. However if you feel fever worsens or you develop a severe throat pain, chest pain, breathing difficulties, I would suggest to report to the nearest health centre for further evaluation.

In the meanwhile, it would be preferable to stay clear of your family, friends and neighbours. Maintain hygiene. Proper hand sanitization after you cough and sneeze. Cover mouth and nose with your hands while coughing or sneezing or wear a mask. Drink lots of fluids. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Vitamin supplements...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The best way to improve immunity is to have a balanced diet containing lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drinking plenty of fluids to stay hydrated and good personal hygiene minimizes any infection that may affect immunity.

Though I am not in favor of using supplements to boost immunity, if required you may take vitamin supplements like becosules or zincovit tablets.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Better to visit the doctor...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is not uncommon to experience chest pain when you are suffering with cough. It does happen with common flu infection. Therefore I will not be overly worried.

However I will recommend you to see a doctor nearby for a physical examination. Blood count and a chest X-ray may be performed if deemed appropriate after careful respiratory system examination.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
