Question : I am having anxiety and chest pain for last 7-8 days. Initially, the BP measured was normal. However for last 2-3 days due to irregular sleep my BP raised to 150/90. In between this my ECG, USG (whole abdomen), Blood profile , Random blood sugar etc were done and everything came normal. I started taking 1 Telmisartan 20 mg at night, 1 Clonazepam 0,25 mg, 1 Nexito 5 mg and pentropazole since 6.8.2019. My question is that, my sleep is still not completely normal and BP is high after two pressure tablet doses. Feeling uncomfortable at day time, very nervous and anxious. What should I do?

Hello

After going through the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern and first of all I would like to tell you that am not able to see any ecg report attached, kindly try reuploading it.

Also first of all you need to deal with your anxiety levels as anxiousness will keep affecting your sleep and blood pressure.

I would like to suggest you to start following healthy lifestyle routine which should include daily morning walks, healthy diet rich in proteins and Fibre and less in carbs.

Also you need to reduce salt intake in your diet and completely avoid caffeine contains stuff, junk food.

Also start practising yoga or meditation as that will really help you combat your anxiety levels.

Follow this routine daily for a minimum of 3 months and it will surely help you.

Kind Regards

Thank you Sir for your kind advise. Please find attached the ECG report. Presently I am trying hard to control my anxiety. How much time the pressure medicine will take to effect? Please tell me whether I need to do further tests like ECHO, TMT etc. Should I completely avoid tea/coffee? There is headache, sudden hotness/chillness etc symptoms with fear.

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
Your ecg is well within normal limits. Bp medications will start full effect within 24 hrs but if you keep yourself stressed and anxious the effect of medicine will not be adequate.

Yes you can get an echo and TMT done as that will help you settle your anxiety.

Kind Regards
