Question : I am having debilitating anxiety. Both physical and mental. I have had a physical symptoms as long as I can rember. I've always been able to distract qothers from my anxiousness and avoid things that made me unconfortable. In the last
Few months I have a developed a "no sleep" regimine ,sitting up all night worrying about when the next one is coming.

Hi,

I went through the details. Hydroxyzine or trazadone don't have enough anxiety controlling properties. It would cause drowsiness; but you reported about debilitating anxiety. Have you discussed about your symptoms with the doctor?

In this circumstance, I think it's best managed with anxiolytic drugs, clonazepam. It also has fair sedative property and should help you sleep. The drug has fair list of cons; but initially after the acute need is taken care off, long time solution either in the form of safer antianxiety pharmacological agents and behavioural therapy can be planned.

In a nutshell, in my opinion, you should discuss with your treating doctor and start appropriate medications.

I do need laricications. Are you able to prescribe me any that you suggested? I can't get to my Dr. At this time, he is not open during my working hours . Please help.
