Regarding fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service.
I have gone through your query and noted your concern.
Tinea cruris is fungal infection of the skin folds of groin and surrounding skin. For tinea cruris, I usually suggest my patients to use a topical antifungal e.g either luliconazole 1% cream (Lulifin cream) or Amorolfine 1% cream (Fungicros cream), twice daily for 3-4 weeks.
In addition, I also suggest applying an oral antifungal e.g Itraconazole 100mg capsule, twice daily, after meals for 3-4 weeks. These are prescription medications and therefore you may talk to a practitioner in your region for a prescription regarding the same.
Since fungal infection is usually itchy therefore you may also take an oral antihistamine e.g Cetirizine 10mg tablet once a day for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if you need any more assistance.
