Question: I am on my period and have clear fluid coming out of a couple of my XXXXXXX glands on my left breast. It only comes out when I squeeze it. I am on no medication, not breastfeeding and not pregnant. Talked to a doctor who says that’s normal. Is that true?

Brief Answer:
Yes it can be a normal discharge.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A mild amount clear discharge that usually appears after a breast stimulation is a normal finding. This can happen due to breast stimulation or due to mild hormonal changes. This can be associated with periods also.
You need not worry. If the discharge is persistent or associated with breast pain or a lump then it needs to be investigated.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
