Question: I am suffering from excessive saliva in my mouth and need to know if respiridone medication I take is causing this or oral thrush which I have at present in my mouth?

Risperidone is known to result in increased salivation in high doses. If you have excessive salivation then that might be due to Risperidone.

Talk to your doctor, dose reduction can help. Addiction of drugs like THP can help to reduce this side effect.

Its more likely to be due to Risperidone, but yes oral thrush can also cause salivation. But other symptoms of thrush will also be there.
