Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
i am dr diwashish biswas.
welcome to ask a doctor service.
Do not stop Atorva 10 mg now. Your LDL has increased from 105 to 116 despite the statin. Ideal LDL goal is <100, preferably <70 if risk factors exist.
You’ve started excellent lifestyle changes (yoga + walking), but they take time to show results.
Plan:
Continue Atorva for 4 more months
Maintain new lifestyle
Quit smoking completely
Recheck lipid profile in 4 months
If LDL drops <70, we can consider tapering or stopping statin under supervision
hope your query is clear now.
Thank you

I hope taking Atorva 10 mg for longer time won't impact anything else, I mean there will be no side effects...
Brief Answer:
Statins may have some side effects on prolonged use

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service.
Statins can have some side effects on prolonged use but no side effects to be worried about.
You can also raise a diet consult and have a detailed diet chart to lower the cholesterol within normal range.
hope your query is clear now. Thank you
