Brief Answer:
Diabetes Mellitus type 2

Detailed Answer:
Istamet 50/500 is a combination medication that contains sitagliptin and metformin. If you are intolerant to metformin due to stomach heaviness and acidity, it may not be advisable to switch to Istamet. However, your doctor may have considered your case and may have reasons for suggesting this medication. You should consult your doctor before making any changes to your medication regimen.

In addition to medication, lifestyle modifications such as regular exercise, a healthy diet, and weight management can also help control blood sugar levels.

Brief Answer:
Uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus

Detailed Answer:

Your fasting blood sugar levels (120-130) and post-prandial blood sugar levels (250-260) indicate that your blood sugar levels are not well-controlled. Additionally, your HbA1c level of 9.3% suggests that your average blood sugar levels have been high over the past 2-3 months.

It is important to speak with your healthcare provider about these test results and the effectiveness of your current medications. They may suggest adjusting your medication dosage or adding additional medications to help better manage your blood sugar levels and reduce your risk of diabetes-related complications. Your healthcare provider is the best person to advise you on the most appropriate treatment options based on your individual medical history, current health status, and other factors.

Thank you, take care.
